Working on a Monday fucking sucks. Ordinarily it was The Bear’s close day, but today Sydney had asked you to spend the quiet day in the kitchen training a new hire. Shit. What was his name again? When Richie had found out, he had insisted on coming in with you, and throughout the morning you had felt Richie’s eyes on you whenever he was in the kitchen, which seemed to be all the goddamn time. At the same time, New Hire had been too close, too cheerful, and had set your teeth on edge. You needed a break.
